Will bear cubs let you pet them in The Great Smokey Mountains National Park?

    the cub might but mom will kill you (literally)

    I saw personally what happens when this happens-a woman had to run in fear of her life as a mother bear tore after her. If this woman had not had her car to get into close by, she would have been in bad shape after her stupid act of running up and grabbing bear cub from behind.

      They should post that picture at every national park that has bears, buffalo, etc.

    I haven't had much luck with that, the parks rangers even tried to arrest me because I broke several tourist necks while trying to pet them.

    The cubs may, the mother of the cubs probably would not allow this. Legally you are also not permitted to do so as a visitor. If you were a properly trained and authorized animal protection officer or act under the explicit authorization of a properly trained and authorized animal protection officer you may be permitted to do so, but even then you would not be just a visitor.
