what is the symbol?

Write the symbol for the monatomic ion that has a charge of –1 and the condensed electron configuration [Ne]3s23p6.

I tried Cl, Cl-, an Cl2- and they are wrong but when I typed Cl- it said I was close so idk what else to put as a symbol NEED HELP!!!!!

    Another possibility to type would be Cl1- where there is an explicit 1 being shown.

    The other possibility is that you will need to report a mistake in the on-line materials. You should consult with your instructor on this point because it may be that reports from students are ignored.

    But Cl- is correct. Did they maybe want you to type Cl -
