What do people mean by "Cadillac"?

I see and hear sometimes people saying "I had an Uber in a Cadillac." I was wondering, what do they mean? Obviously it means a specific one of Cadillac's vehicles... Some of my friends say it's an Escalade... That one song idk what is called has "We're driving Cadillacs in our dreams (oh)." <---- Which one of Cadillac's many vehicles? Is it the Escalade..?

The Escalade is a very large SUB Cadillac. If someone had an Uber in a Cadillac, it means the Uber driver drove a Cadillac, which is rare.

They mean it was either an Escalade or an XTS sedan or XT5 SUV or some other Cadillac vehicle, without specifying which one. But it was not a Chevy Malibu or a Ford Model T or a Nissan Cube. Why is this so hard to understand?

Cadillac makes the Escalade. Cadillac is part of GM, if it still is.
