Are rabbits kept as pets?
I’m referring to domestic rabbits and if it is both legal (in the U.S.) and ethical to own one

Why do you ask them same question again? Don't you read the answers you get? You already asked this question and got the same answers.

Yes. Rabbits are very popular pets, but make sure you research a lot about them before you own one, if that is what you want.

Yes. It is only ethical if they have at least 6 square feet of space each, bigger is always better, with an appropriate diet and lots of enrichment.

Rabbits are beautiful as pets and their meat can be eaten

Yes they are kept as pets. Like with any domesticated animal, if they are given proper care it is ethical to keep them.

Yes. There are many more reasons why a rabbit makes an excellent house pet. When well taken care of, they can live for 5 or even 15 years. They enjoy being around people and are very affectionate, playful, clean and can even be litter trained

Of course but be sure you're not allergic

if you're talking about wild rabbits, it's most likely illegal to keep one of those as a pet, wherever you are. you can't really tame them all that well either, you have to breed them over generations to get tame ones, and they can carry disease. there's various domesticated breeds of rabbits you can own as pets of course

Yes they are. My local pet store will occasionally bring in rabbits for adoption.
