The pressure at the top of a liquid is 1.00 atm. At a depth of 15.9 m, the fluid pressure is 261000 Pa. What is the density of the fluid? ?

    p-patm = h*ρ*g

    density ρ = (p-patm) / (h*g) = (2.61*10^5-1.01*10^5)/(9.806*15.9) = 1026.2 kg/m^3

    You need the simple formula

    Pstatic fluid = ρgh

    where     ρ = fluid densityg = acceleration of gravityh = depth of fluid

    Simply take into account the ATM pressure.
