Why do narcissists play victim?

    It's hard to say if they're pretending to be victims to gain some advantage or they actually believe they're victims.

    Because by doing that they come across as toxic and want you to become like them as they envy non narcissists. So best to set clear boundaries with them. X

    Confusing, reversing, the victim and offender works on people who aren't paying too close attention. Which is most people.
