Nonsense.  The Saint Johns River in Florida flows North.

There are over 30 rivers in the United States that flow north,

and over 60 throughout the entire world.

The Nile, which is the longest river on Earth,

is arguably the most famous river that flows in a northerly direction.

That's absurd. There are about 15 major rivers in Russia that run north. The Mackenzie is a huge river in Canada that runs north. The Rhine in Europe, and the San Joaquin and Willamette in the US all run north. Plus dozens of smaller ones.

No. The Seine River in France runs North as do plenty of Rivers in Siberia.

    Of course not.

Lots and lots of rivers run north.

Basically: where any mountains or other high country tends to run East-West

rivers run north and south from that high country

unless it is in a very arid region.

Similarly: northern coastlines tend to have lots of rivers running north to that coastline.

(See: northern Europe, Canada, Russia, etc.)

The Nile is probably the largest river in the World that runs primarily north

but it certainly is not the only one.

And consider rivers like the Congo (a major river)

which runs all directions (along various legs of the river, making nearly a complete circle)

and which in portions certainly runs north for several miles.
