James Thurber wrote a story about a writer who never wrote anything.  Anyone know the name of the story or where I might find it?

Everyone thought the man was a genius. His writer friends took up a collection to send him someplace for inspiration. I think he  came back a couple days later very drunk.

The story is "Something to Say." The man's name was Elliot Vereker. Story can be found in the Library of America collection of Thurber, p. 272.

I thought the name of the book is The Worthless Liar.  Then I remembered, that's actually a book about Joe Biden.
