    -2x+5y=20 can be rewritten as x/(-10) + y/4 = 1.

    This is the intercept form, where x/a + y/b = 1 has x intercept a and y intercept b.

    Here the x intercept is -10 and the y intercept is 4.

    :-

    - 2x = 20

    x = - 10

    5y = 20

    y = 4

    Intercepts are (- 10,0) and (0,4)

    If -2x+5y = 20 then the x and y intercepts are at (-10, 0) and (0, 4) respectively

  • x-intercept happens when y = 0

    y-intercept happens when x = 0

    x-intercept

    -2x + 5 * 0 = 20

    -2x = 20

    x = -20/2

    y-intercept

    -2 * 0 + 5y = 20

    5y = 20

    y = 20/5

    You can finish up, can't you?
