Schiff is the judge, the prosecutor, and is giving testimony. Will Americans think this is fair?

The funny thing is, after all the secret testimony in the capital basement, after declaring all but his favorite witnesses to be top secret, after declaring that we are not allowed to know who the whistle blower is, he still cannot push this across the finish line.

This kangaroo court is not going to come out the way dems think.

Update:

And for the record, grand juries are not televised show trials intended to sway public opinion. Trying to draw a parallel between this farce and a grand jury is laughable.

不不不不不the House of Representatives is the judge, Schiff cant send the impeachment to the Senate on his own.

Look! The Constitution PROTECTS whistle blowers, so, wrong doing can be reported without retaliation, death threats, etc. Republicans know this, but what they are saying will keep the"base" in line. Closed door testimony is acceptable, this is a rule Republicans came up with. during the Benghazi fiasco. Now all witnesses are publicaly testifying, and that is ALL the witnesses. You don't have a leg to stand on, on this subject!

"The Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989 was enacted to protect federal employees who disclose "Government illegality, waste, and corruption" from adverse consequences related to their employment. This act provides protection to whistleblowers." The rule is good enough!

This did not start out as a show trial. The House started conducting a proper investigation, behind closed doors. Almost half of the people there were Republicans. The Republican congressmen who were left out, made a big foofaraw about the investigation, forgetting that this is exactly the way they went about deciding to impeach Clinton. They wanted open meetings. They GOT open meetings. Beware of what you ask for; you might get it.

You want useless showboating? Look at all of the tweets and the calls for revealing the identity of the whistle-blower.. Now that there are people who have confirmed that what the whistle-blower said was true, his (or her) name is moot. Even Trump has admitted to asking for a political favor from a foreign government.

You whine like a puppy about the investigation because you KNOW that Trump is guilty, and fear the truth that will be exposed when the witnesses are compelled to testify.

Schiff is acting as Investigator, Prosecutor, Witness, Judge, AND Jury....

This obvious one sided partisan circus is the very reason that an independent counsel was appointed to do the investigating, gather evidence and then present it to the House during both the Nixon and Clinton impeachment proceedings.

Plus it had the added benefit of freeing up the Legislature to actually Legislate.

    • They tried that already, but Mueller did not understand that he was supposed to reach a pre-determined conclusion. That was quite disappointing to dems.

It's too bad that you don't know what's going on: If the House impeaches, the SENATE has a trial.

And since this is all being done along party lines, it will be a reverse kangaroo court FOR donnie.

I need to stop asking "can Trump supporters get any less intelligent?" Apparently Trump supporters are taking this as a challenge.

Schiff is running a committee. The committee can not remove the president. His committee will make a recommendation to the judicial committee. If they feel impeachment is justified, they will create articles of impeachment and submit them to the entire house.

The entire house would then debate and vote on the articles of impeachment.

If the house votes to impeach, THE SENATE HOLDS THE TRIAL.

"And for the record, grand juries are not televised show trials intended to sway public opinion. Trying to draw a parallel between this farce and a grand jury is laughable."

True, yet Republicans whined and whined like little bratty children that the process was "so secret" (because good investigations are). So, the house decided to allow some of the hearing to be held as open hearings. You got what you asked for, deal with it. You will cry either way.

It is so sad that apparently US schools no longer teach about the impeachment process in school. Well, at least not in conservative states. Mush have been a change since back in the 90's when the republicans impeached Clinton.

This is not a court. It is the equivalent of a US Grand Jury, reviewing evidence before referring it to a court or dismissing the case.

REPUBLICANS wanted the hearings to be public, you whined about it for weeks.

Now you don't like how it's going so you call it a "show trial"? LMAO @ you.

No, this isn't a trial and this isn't a court. He is leading an investigation, and he isn't the judge of anything.

Fascinating how "the law and order party" turns out to have absolutely no idea how any of this works. Like, none.

If there is a trial, it will happen at the Senate. Schiff won't be judge there either. Please TRY to learn how this works.

Want to hear from exculpatory witnesses? Tell Trump to stop blocking them from testifying.
