Color of the sky as far as I can see is coal grey.

Lift my head from the pillow and then fall again.

Shiver in my bones, just thinking about the weather.

Quiver in my lip as if I might cry.

The sky has NO color.  What you see is Scattered light from the Sun.

Sort of a purple, but our vision perceives it as more blue.

It is a light shade of Blue

Known as Sky Blue for that reason

As the Sun's Rays come through our Atmosphere

They become Refracted, as Air is a Medium

The Visable Spectrum runs from Red to Violet

In other words the Colours of a Rainbow

They can also be produced by shining a white light through a Prism

    It is another Medium

Anyway, this Refraction and further Refraction from Water droplets in the Sky give us the Blue section of the Spectrum in the Sky

That is why the Sky is Blue on a Sunny Day

In the 1800's, a Scientist who became Lord Rayleigh

    studied it a lot

It has become known as Rayleigh Scattering
