If impeachment isn't a criminal hearing, thereby entitling a defense, then is it really just a one-sided public mudslinging?

The liberal democrat process has become so partisan it's only about silencing political opposition at any cost - iregardless of how stupid they are made to look. On the day of Trump's inauguration, 1/20/2017, headlines began about the quest to impeach him.
First there was Comey. Next there was Mueller. Now we have this last final dig in an attempt to impeach him - all based on hear say and conjecture. It's interesting, even if someone does exist on the extreme left, that they have the inability to see a narrative that was brought about years before the current dishonest Ukraine debacle.
Democrats spent north of a billion on slanderous campaign efforts in 2016. They're approaching that with these wasteful investigations. At some point, they have to look at the honest truth - liberal democrats are being duped and fed a narrative that has been around ever since before Trump took office - all because they were so cock sure Hillary would win. They have been sincerely buttt hurt ever since. It's like they have no critical thinking skills. It's sad really.

Hon, when prosecutorial misconduct occurs and exculpatory evidence is suppressed grand juries do not result in a trial.

This is the impeachment inquiry, not the trial. I wish you Constitution experts would read the damned thing before you post nonsense.

Not at all. It's not a TRIAL, but Trump is more than welcome to tell his side of the story. He chooses not to. I swear, the man is digging his own grave and it is so much fun to watch him do so.

In a normal Congressional committee minority rights are acknowledged. Schiff is a clown and his hearing is a farce. LOL

Impeachment is being charged with acts that make someone in the Judicial or Executive branch unfit to hold their position. The acts do not need to be criminal or even illegal to bring the charges.
The Senate then decides at a trial that is unique, neither criminal or civil, if the person will be removed from office. The validity of the charges is actually secondary. Even if true they may not warrant removal from office in the opinion of 2/3 of the Senate.

Who said the President isn't entitled to defend himself in an impeachment trial? He is. He could even defend himself now, during the investigation.
It's is more one sided though if you forbid your side from talking.

Trump has ordered anyone who might have been loyal to him not to testify. Whose fault is that? Take any complaints of one-sidedness up with him.
Also, it was REPUBLICANS, INCLUDING TRUMP, who whined for weeks that the hearings should be made public. Now it's going against them so they're crying that it's public? Lol.

There is a trial in the Senate. You idiots should really try learning some civics.

You mean like Republicans did to Bill Clinton?
