Transmission or engine problem?

I have a 2011 maxima and last year I replaced my transmission because it was making a whining noise and didn’t shift correctly. Now my car is still driving fine but now when I go anywhere between 3000 and  4000 rpms the car makes a buzzing sound kind of like a hair trimmer and it may last for about a second and go away. Today I was driving home and came to a stop and the car stalled. I needed an oil change almost 3000 miles ago also. What can be the problem?

Update:

Also no codes come up

Might be an exhaust shield making the noise.

BIG mistake not changing the oil every 3,000 miles or 5,000 miles when using synthetic oil. Timing chains wear out and the cam advance actuators begin to stick and throw codes. It's absolutely imperative to keep the oil level at the top dipstick mark! Check the oil level every 1,000 miles or sooner.

Torque converter could be shot.  Get the car towed to a garage.
