LGBT, how do you feel about identity politics and the recent pronoun stuff that has come up in recent years?

So first off I wanna say that I am straight and a liberal. I just wanted to ask the LGBT people how they feel about these people who identify as nonbinary, gender fluid or some other pronoun. I'm not trying to piss people off because I've been asking all sorts of questions when it comes to certain things.

Well, gender ambiguity and transgenderism is as old as society itself.I think it's great that they are getting more recognition, entering politics and creating these much needed conversations. My one problem with it is that the topic of sexuality and gender identity have become a bit conflated. The LGBT community does not "own" this. We often forget that gender nonbinary people and trans people are sometimes straight as well. We need to make sure to maintain two very different discussions, while implementing a reasonable degree of intersectionality

There's no such thing as genderfliud and nonbinarys or whatever Tumblr bullsh!t they've made up since I stopped paying attention. I refuse to use pronouns to refer to anything but biological sex. I used to do it out of politeness, but since they won't stop threatening to kill and rape me, I stopped being polite. These people aren't gay and don't belong in the gay community. I'm SICK of straight people taking everything over. That's what this really is. They're straight people who want to be cool Don't even get me started on the straight men who insist they're lesbians and have driven lesbians completely underground. There are no lesbian bars left because of these men, there are no lesbian spaces, there are no women only spaces. I hate these creeps, because they hate women.

It is good that you are trying to understand. Most people don't understand - therefore it's no good. I personally do not understand the gender fluid concept. I am a 70 year old lesbian. I am probably what you consider a tomboy or was when I was younger. In the gay community it is called being butch and there are different grades- a little bit butch (me) to diesel dyke who acts and dresses like a guy. Oh my, I don't understand that myself. And I do not understand gender fluid- I know I am a woman; I accept that- I have no problem with it. I think I wanted to be a boy when I had my first period and then I thought about carrying all that 'junk' down there and decided I would be perfectly happy being a girl. It took 5 minutes for me to come to that conclusion. : ) I truly do not understand the concept of feeling like a boy today and feeling like a girl tomorrow. I am totally bewildered.

I hope you get some answers that will help you understand better.

Every single person who "identifies" as something is a child rapist and liar. Transgenders are the rebirth of the pedophile movement, they're fighting to make it legal for men to go into little girl's locker rooms and expose themselves to the little girls.

I'm gay and fully support people living however makes them happy but when I first starting hearing terms like non-binary, gender-fluid, etc. I did think that it was "a bit much."  If that makes sense.  But then I started educating myself and I support people using whatever pronoun they want.  Gender is a spectrum and it's different than biological sex.

I could not care less what someone identifies as and will use the pronouns they want me to use.

I don't have a problem with it since it almost never comes up in real life.
