Why do so many people still think that we live in a meritocracy and you can make it here by working hard?

Because education in the US is atrocious and, let's be honest, bought. 62% of all wealth in this country is inherited and most other wealth is gained by the exploitation of workers and sleazy tax evasion schemes. Do you really think billionaires are going to sit back and let Americans learn that they're being cheated and scammed? Hell no.

You have to work hard to make it here.

Hard work is another whole level when you work hard.

An early grave. Seen too many of my older generation kill themselves from doing inhumane work for peanuts to try and provide.

It's why so many now in the younger generations have side jobs, hustles, etc. to have the same inhumane drive that takes them away from the family and community. Whether its mentally, physically,  or spiritually.

    A cycle.

    Older generation providers were men.

    My generation providers were women.

This generation providers are the govt and children (you have).

    A pattern

    Man, woman, and child..........🤔
