I have a question about elk ?

I have an elk that i killed, i was in a place with some big game.

I was wondering if i could store the elk where i place my bologna.

I am wondering if i can store the elk where i store my bologna.

Update 2:

I am not sure how it can keep it fresh, and ready to cook.

Of course you can.  No problem.

Of course. It will fit anywhere you store a 500 lb boloney once it has been butchered.

Adam D likes jerky but it is not elk. Mostly hand action.

It must be stored in a freezer I’d you don’t plan on cooking it. Keep raw meat separate from everything. We eat meat a lot, and when we aren’t using it, it’s in the freezer. It can get spoiled if it’s not.

Weapons are going to be banned on December 1. Just over a week and a half! Seizing will be December 2nd-23rd. All before Christmas! 3 states have already stopped sales for them.

You cut it into smallish pieces (up to 10 lbs is fine), wrap it securely in freezer paper, label the date, and consume within a year.  Alternatively, if you REALLY like jerky, you can cut the whole thing into small strips, dry it with spices, and it can be stored in the pantry for a very long time.  Alternatively still, give some of it to friends.
