Sick toddler help??

My boyfriend’s 3 year old son has been sick for a little over a week now. He had a fever for the first few days and was coughing his lungs out so we took him to an urgent care nearby, where all they did was throw an antibiotic prescription at us and send us on our way. Here we are, many days later, and his fever is gone but the other symptoms are persisting. He can’t hold any solid food down, he’s coughing so hard he’s throwing up, he’s sleeping all day long, and he keeps having outbursts of just yelling and not telling us what’s wrong. He is doing ok with holding down liquids. Help??

Sleeping may be the best thing for him, it lets his body heal. Have you thought about taking him to a hospital? Where is his mother?

Have your doctor examine him for diphtheria infection.  Although, a rare infection, it can block the airway.

He needs a pediatrician. Urgent care is basically useless.

take him back to the doctor about this.
