Is it possible to have a herpes exposure but not be infected?

    Yes. Some people can contract and be carriers, but show no symptoms and have no outbreaks.

    Yes, but its far more common to get the virus and have no symptoms.

  • Yes it's possible to be exposed to herpes and not get it. Herpes isn't always automatically passed on.

    Yes of course, you are exposed to many things that don’t infect you. Either there isn’t enough virus or it didn’t penetrate to you.

    Anything is possible. When dealing with disease and illness, lowering the probability of exposure is the goal, but exposure is no certainty.
