    I would put Lynn Swann in for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Deion Branch in for the New England Patriots.

    Irvin was a much better WR than Pearson. Irvin brought a lot more to the position. His size, passion and leadership etc. 

    Pearson was only catching 30-40 balls a year after the 1978 rule changes. Irvin caught 111 at the same age. 

    If Irvin hadn't been forced to retire because of the neck injury he easily would have had 1000 catches. He was barely 33 when he retired. Rice played to 42. TO to 37. Fitzgerald is still going at 108.
