Can you help me understand this paragraph ? I can't understand it at all.?

SHARON BOWN: I don't oppose a royal commission into veteran suicide and I certainly applaud those that are standing up, bearing their soul and their grief and trauma to lobby for a royal commission into veteran suicide.

Veterans want a commission to study their problems with PTSD and suicide.

It seems fairly straight forward. She plainly stated she doesn't oppose a commission.

She also is praising those that have suffered a loss who have chosen to share their personal experiences and pain in public to advocate for the commission. A loss is hard enough to deal with, but the individuals willing to discuss their private personal experiences to benefit others is praise worthy.

I am not sure what is so hard to understand.
