What is meant by "bearing their soul and their grief " in this context?

SHARON BOWN: I don't oppose a royal commission into veteran suicide and I certainly applaud those that are standing up, bearing their soul and their grief and trauma to lobby for a royal commission into veteran suicide.

It’s “baring”, not “bearing”... the two words impart completely different meanings.

bearing refers to carrying a burden.

The word "bearing" is a misquote, a mistaken transcription.

The word should be "baring", as in "baring their souls", or exposing their pain and grief publicly so that there can be greater understanding of what they have experienced.

She's referring to people who are willing to tell their stories, even though it may be traumatic or painful for them.  They may be talking about their own consideration of or even attempt at suicide or perhaps have lost a relative or friend to suicide.
