Buy a car night night vision system at $499, is it worthwhile?

The only way to know if it is worth it for you is to test drive with one. My opinion is that for driving in or near urban and densely populated suburban areas at relatively low speeds they are a waste of money.

Hello, in order to use night vision devices-you need a place in the car, since the devices are usually attached to the helmet and recline in front of the driver should be enough space to move the device to the eyes.
The second point - have you ever used such devices ?
It's all about lighting, that is, if you use them it is not in the city and without oncoming cars-ideally you need to ride in the desert on a buggy.
The answer is obvious to use night vision devices there are no conditions and no need, as they narrow the focus of the view and you can not see the side vision - which will eventually lead to an accident.

Yes, if you drive on unlit roads after dark a lot. However, it might make you a hazard to other drivers who can't see as well as you and drive slowly .

Does that car have a pair of $20 headlights? Do you drive a lot at night?

If you have poor vision or drive a lot during nighttime, i would consider that a wise investment.

True night vision goggles will cost you over $2000 used. I doubt what ever you're talking about is nothing more than some lame gimmick.
