Would you like the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe as a Xmas gift?

That’s what I got my dad. Last year I got him the complete works of Sherlock Holmes

Of course!   But then again, I work in a cemetery (Yes, with lots of "residents"

    that Poe knew).

Did he read and enjoy the Sherlock Holmes series?

If he likes scary stories, he'll like Edgar Alan Poe's.  Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did.  Some of his other short fiction was like Poe's (The Leather Funnel and My Friend the Murderer are two) Poe wrote "scary" better, possibly because Doyle's sunny, positive nature kept breaking through.

Yes, I'd like either of those.

If he's into those kinds of things then great. If he's like me who'd rather read an old camera's user's manual instead then, "Who's got time to read all that?"

Your dad must be a reader.

    He'll like it.
