Why does ice makers in refrigerators suck?

Throughout the years except in the 1980s and early 1990s, we had ice makers made into our refrigerators.

The ice would chunk up, cluster together, it would start tasting bad. More than regularly it would chunk together or cluster.

I ended up disgarding the ice machine in the new one and using ice trays like I did back in the 80s and early 1990s.

I had no problem ever since.

if you were having problems with your ice maker your ice maker filter was probably filthy dirty. Did you even have one in line?

    • No filter in this model and yet it is doing the same thing
