Is fracking bad for the environment?  Does it really cause earthquakes?

    You are to see the earthquake maps in the states that are doing the fracking! Repeated and unending earthquakes I think there's so much evidence that fracking causes earthquakes that there's no way to ignore it

    The act of hydraulic fracturing, fracking, does not cause earthquakes. It is not bad for the environment. If the water used in the fracking is disposed of properly there is no worry.

    It is when the fracking water is pumped into an underground well and left there that earthquakes can be caused. For quite some time frackers have not been pumping the water underground.

    It was learned that the practice was bad, so it stopped. Simple

    The action seems to often poison and contaminate underground drinking water is one of the issues I read about.

    Yes and yes. Injecting water into the ground lubricates the layers of rock, making slippage easier.
