Is this too much for an apartment?

Is 865 too much for a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment in the Midwest? Only water included.

Update:

I live in Indiana.

Update 2:

Has a washer/dryer, and dishwasher.

Update 3:

900 square feet.

What is the square feet of your apartment?  I live in Michigan.  Seems reasonable to me.  I live in an average sized city of around 190,000 in a desirable neighborhood and am currently paying $900.  Only difference is that I have two full bathrooms.   Having a washer/dryer in the unit is worth it.

Where in Indiana? Prices in Indianapolis or other big city will vary greatly from prices in some tiny town.  Prices in a desirable neighborhood with lots of jobs in a good school district in a walkable area in any town will likely be a lot higher than prices in a less desirable neighborhood.  See what neighboring complexes are charging.

No idea. It depends where it is, and what the going rate for that area is.

Compare local similar size / located apartments and see.

How are we going to know that?  You don't think prices may vary a bit from place to place in Indiana.  Just go check out a few competing places and see if the prices are similar.

For what its worth that is a decent price where I am (300 miles away).

Not high if it's a nice area or in a large city

In St Louis, Missouri, two bedroom apartment rents average $1385 a month.

In Akron, Ohio, $650 is high.

In Milwaukee that’s great. In Oshgosh, nowhereville it’s robbery.

Everything is relative to supply and demand.
