6 semesters usually equals 3 years of study (fall and spring semesters).  However, this program might also include summer sessions that are being counted as semesters as well.

The associate degree program in DH is usually 3 years (instead of 2) most likely due to the coursework being quite rigorous with a lot of science-related classes.

If you haven't done any job shadowing of registered DHs in the various clinical settings of which they might work, then please do so (with prior staff approval).

Please make sure that the DH program is ADA-accredited.

6 semesters is 3 school years; possibly 2 calendar years if you can do a full semester of course work over summer sessions.

Normally 2 semesters (fall and spring) make up a school year so 6 semesters is 3 years of school.

      I don't know why it's an associates degree if it's 3 years.
