Are stats like the ''Happiest countries in the world'' actually credible?

Happiness is subjective so how can you really measure it?

I think its all just propaganda to make White Western countries look better as opposed to poor Non White countries that are still trying to recover from Western colonialism, imperialism etc

The number 1 ranked country by the 2019 World Happiness Report also ranks in the top 20% of the world (32nd out of 183 countries) in suicides.

They often seem to judge happiness on factors like a nation's economy, availability of health coverage, and education.  And so even though some dirt-farming nation no one's ever heard of might be full of people who are positively delighted to be alive, they go ignored in favor of the more economically advantageous.

Chasing happiness is materialism. It's inherently evil, not good.
