Is it normal to hear voices when I’m nearly asleep?

When I go to bed I hear voices and they’re just talking about normal everyday things. It’s like my mind is in a small crowd of people just chatting. I can’t stop them from talking or make it quiet, but when I open my eyes they’re completely gone. They’ve never directly addressed me or ordered me to do anything, and it’s not like it bothers me, it’s just kind of weird to me.

It's  not abnormal and can occur just prior to, or just

    following sleep.

You are what's termed,`hypnagogic` at those times.

You might also have visual `flashes` of scenes

outlining subconscious knowledge for you to decipher.

It is very common, yes. I have mild exploding head syndrome, which bothers a lot of people but not me. Don't worry.
