Why is my four wheel drive not working?

I have replaced the indicator(Push Buttons) and the TCCM. The fuses are fine. I also have no "Service 4wd" message either. So at this point I have no idea whats wrong with it. Someone told me some kind of sensor or sensors but I dont know what specific sensors they were talking about

Update:

2000 Silverado 2500 V8 6.0L

Update 2:

Their is no lights on the indicator either

Update 3:

Basically no power to anything thats 4wd

How often have you used the 4? Has it ever been serviced? You need a transmission mechanic to inspect it.

If it's like the Chevy 4x4 I used to own, the front drive train is engaged by an actuator that heats up and expands, depressing a lever and engaging the front differential. That may be faulty.

Do a search on youtube for info or find a mechanic that knows the system.
