What would a US Navy Officer wear during ww2?

Specifically a battleship captain in the Atlantic fleet. What uniform would said captain wear day to day while on ship?

    Watch Mr Roberts. Officers wore a light brown uniform with wheel hat. When in combat they wore a vest and helmet.

    A khaki uniform. There are somethings you are better off researching yourself. There are any number of web pages you can find with examples of WWII uniforms.

    literally a suit made of khakis.   look at any WW2 era movie out there.   aside from the ribbons( which are wrong by design) the uniform is pretty accurate.;

    Since he's the battleship captain, he'd probably wear a brimed service cap with his bathrobe.
