Is UK safe crime-wise with plenty of police, as a major news headline is a man arrested at a football game for impersonating the players?

and no violent crime as major headlines

Update:

Doing what he thought was an impression of the players...

The Police obviously have nothing better to do. Forget the stabbings and killings we better arrest a man for allegedly impersonation some over paid footballer.

Only a racist would describe the incident as 'impersonation'

"Arrested at a football game for impersonating the players?" I didn't know it was illegal to constantly spit on the pitch. Most footballers feel the need to do that.

Safety is not guaranteed, but there are plenty of worse countries in the world.  Knife crime is on the rise, mainly in deprived areas where gangs and drugs are concentrated.

Police are assigned to football games, which clubs partly fund, and quite correctly investigated an allegation of televised racial abuse. Few people would have a problem with that.
