Why do many dem constitutional scholars in a sense say, the dems have nothing, no grounds for impeachment and you can't move the goal posts?

Because the voices in your head say so.

Which ones are those specifically?  I saw a letter signed by some 600 such scholars saying exactly the opposite.  And it isn't a party thing.  Those of us who see impeachment as the only alternative are not doing it because of some party affiliation.  It isn't about party, except apparently for Republicans who support Trump no matter what he does.  Everyone else including most independents such as me see the behavior for what it is: wrong, deeply and disturbingly wrong, the antithesis of what this country is supposed to be.

That would appear to be the case. There are no grounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5AjKNnXGik

Is that why more than 600 signed a letter stating that grounds for impeachment were STRONG?

What hearings were you watching?  Oh, you're getting your info through the filtered lens if Fox's bullshit goggles, aren't you?  Try watching the actual hearings next time before the Fox has a chance to spin it.  The experts clearly said that based on the evidence he committ crimes and should be impeached. There was no ambiguity.

No constitutional scholar is saying that, other than the ones that think this POTUS is immune from anything he says or does including shooting someone on 5th avenue.
