    rock was pronounced dead in the late 1970s, and several songs were written to dispute that claim. These include the Kink's "Rock and Roll fantasy" and Neil young's "Rust never sleeps.." In short the report that rock is dead is greatly exaggerated. the Rolling Stones are still performing, and they are still selling out their concerts. Pete Townshend and Roger Daltry of the Who are still active even though 2 of their band mates have passed. As Jethro Tull said, you are never too old to rock and roll, but you are too young to die.
