I want to be a pediatrician and that takes at least 11 years of training. Should I get a part-time job while training?

If you make no effort to keep up on costs you will graduate with two or three hundred thousand of dollars of debt. It will take you years to pay it back.

You have clearly not done any research on the subject. No, you will NOT have a part-time job. Medical students do not have time for other jobs and residents work 80-120 hours a week or more for the duration of their residency. It is considerably more work than having a full-time job -- it is two full-time jobs at once. That's in no small part why they finish with $250,000 in debt.

Pediatry or Pediatric Medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study and diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot ankle and associated structures. The course takes 3 or 4 years to complete depending on where you choose to study. To qualify & practice as a pediatrist you are required to pass all of the courses. This involves clinical work with patients, both in academic & placement environment.

Uh no. Pediatric medicine is the branch of medicine devoted to CHILDREN. Podiatry is the specialty pertaining to disorders of the feet and is nowhere near as difficult as pediatrics.

First, why is this in the military section?

Second, maybe while you are working on your undergrad.  You probably won't have the time while in med school.  Part of that 11 years is residency after med school, which is a job.

Chances are that you won't have time for a part-time job while in med school.
