I have 100 year old dumbwaiter in historic building that recently was being used and it jammed. Removed blockage but it wont restart. Ideas?

Have your fat assss gf or wife get on it and jump up and down then move this out of the boat section.

Get a bunch of barbell plates and keep loading them in until it breaks free.

If it's electric, check the breakers (or fuses). If it's that old, it probably has the screw-in type of fuse. The overload from the jam could cause such a thing to happen, if a motor starts to draw more amps when the torque increases.
