Why does my new HP ink cartlidge not want to work in my hp printer?

    there could be lots of reasons. each cartridge has a COUNTRY of origin and a DATE of manufacture. If the country does not match the country of manufacture for your printer than that is one reason. if the date of manufacture of the cartridge itself is too old(so effectively it has expired) then thats another reason.

    It's either defective, incorrect model or improperly installed. Try removing it and reinstalling it. If that does not work, take it back.

    Sometimes when you buy a new ink cartridge from the store it may have some cosmetic defects on its label which make it not want to install properly so make sure it is not scratched or something.

     If it is, then whatever color it happens to be in use that color permanent marker to fix any scratches it may have on the label so the hp printer can detect the HP ink cartlidge type and model. Take it back to the store and have them give you another one after doing this "secret" if you still have trouble installing your ink cartridge to your printer.
