That is a terribly long commute. You will leave at 6AM, and return home about 7PM. On a good day. Ouch. Something else to keep in mind though....the BUS is usually faster than driving your own car. This is because the bus has special lanes to skip traffic, the bus does not stop for toll booths, etc. If the bus takes 1 hour and 45 minutes, then you are probably looking at 3 hours one way to drive your own car. RIDICULOUS!!!

Forty five minutes for a dream job is nothing at all.  Good luck !!!!!

    Hannah it is simple

A one Hour 45 minute commute is shorter than one that is two hours long.

A 1hr 45 min commute is longer than one of 1 hr and 10 minutes.

Some have longer commutes and others a shorter one.

ONLY you can place a value on your time and whatever wage you might receive for this and the alternate options that are available to you.

Of course when you drive in the future yourself. Your car costs are much more than just the cost of gas and the time needed to get from A to B.

As a passenger you could do other stuff during the commute and not just be watching the car bumper in front of you.

Perfect NORMAL - I leave home at 6.30 am and arrive at work at 8.45 am.

It's longer than I'm willing to do, but sometimes you have no choice.

Its long. Certainly wouldn't commute that far for a lousy dead end job.

But for a dream job on a temporary basis its worth it. Especially since that's time spent on public transit & busses, which means you can bring a laptop/tablet or your phone or a book and pass the time reading or playing games or whatever. that makes it far more tolerable than if you had to sit behind the wheel and watch the road for nearly 2 hours.

There are plenty of people who have a nice short commute and as soon as they get home they sit down and spend 2 hours playing on their phones or whatever, so you just get to sit on the bus instead of on your couch.

For a " dream, good paying job" no. It's not a long commute at all!

You gotta do what you gotta do. A 2 hour commute gets old pretty quickly but lots of people do it.
