Does the Statue of Liberty look more like a man or a woman to YOU? ?

    I've always taken the long gown,  or toga, or whatever the heck she's wearing to  mean a woman, although it is a rather harsh face. 

    and many people rarely notice.......but she's wearing sandals on her feet. 

    I also seen it said a lot  that she carries a bible, or a book. 

    That is incorrect....it is NOT a book..........it distinctly has a PLAQUE  shape..... with the  Roman numerals  MDCCLXXVI on it........which of course means  1776.

    no, I think it's not. because, the statue of liberty is the symbol of independence, and independent is not men or women. it's all about freedom.

    Woman just by what she's wearing but the facial profile does look manly.

    It looks like a hunk of metal.

    By the way, Bartholdi used his own mother as a model for the statue.
