I have a Question on these DNA Ancestry Kits?

After someone submits their DNA to one of these companies, is it now a matter of public record.  Can law enforcement access your DNA?

They have before and will probably do so again. You have NO protections.

It is not public, those companies are private. Accessing their information would require a court order. If they had a court order, they could just take your DNA and not go through the company.

Yes, they can, presuming the customer has voluntarily provided their data to the GEDmatch open source database. If you don't provide your DNA results to GEDmatch, police will not be able to access your DNA data.

A great way for any company to make money by changing you to send you entertainment results and to collect a very valuable database which as these companies are set up to make money they can sell on or sell access to their databases............ so of course, it has already been done in many instances selling on access to databases

Every company is different but the companies do state what is does with the information and who has access to it in the paperwork that comes with the kit.  You just need to read the fine print.
