Why do I look so fat before my period?

Like the scale just goes up a bit. And my stomach hurts like crazy. My stomach and my waist look wider and my butt and my boobs look bigger before my period and during it.

Bloating. Your body retains water to prepare for the blood loss. Water retention is exacerbated by eating lots of salt, so avoid things like chips, fries, etc. shortly before and during your period.

I literally go up half a cup size, and I’m about 3-4 pounds heavier on the scale. My stomach, which is normally flat/close to flat, looks like I’ve just eaten McDonald’s starting 2 days before my period until about day 4 out of 5. It happens to us all!

Well I don't eat chips or fries anyway. I do eat broccoli.

It's normal for that to occur, it is just bloating.
