why do new cars loose so much value?

    Probably because they aren't nearly as valuable as the price tag and what they are sold for in the first place.

    The word is LOSE, loose is the opposite of tight!

    They don't. They are initially sold at vastly inflated prices. The resale value more closely reflects their real value, which is why after the initial "value" drop, it drops at a pretty consistent rate.

    Because everything loose value after purchase.
