Hi. LOTS of options. I recommend You create a USB live linux booter drive & play around with some of the teaching videos available before making a final decision.
Otherwise, You CAN still keep using Win7 either with a bootable live linux for all online stuff, or using the current Win7 system You haver as a "Virtual machine" with the last link on My list below :

There's no need to act immediately. If you have an anti-virus program, it will continue for some time to work for you.

I am not trying to sell anything Just Wondering0001 you idiot. There is NO price mentioned anywhere in my answer, or website that asks, for money.
I can see you don't know anything about computers. I think you might have the same problem with Linux. I am familiar with computers. I wipe my hard drive from time to time, and then I install the newest version of my operating system on my hard drive.
From my personal experience of using Linux I think it's, for nerdy people. Your reason, for wanting to use it seems stupid to me. I suggest you continue using Microsoft Windows.
Lastly I can do much more with computers than just wipe out hard drives, and install operating systems on hard drives, and yes, I consider myself to be a nerd.

Linux would be a good alternative. Depending on how technical/resourceful you are, there may be somewhat of a learning curve. However, there are plenty of 'noob-friendly' distros out there. Ubuntu, Linux Mint and others are generally well regarded and recommended for first-time Linux users. They have pretty good community support and regular updates and fixes. Getting used to the Linux file system can be a bit of a challenge. Linux doesn't use drive letters like Windows does. The root of the drive is denoted as / (just a forward slash). In Windows you may have something like C:\users\Billy Bob\Desktop . Under Linux, that would be /home/Billy Bob/Desktop .

I thought you knew that already. Just modify the OS.

No, there is not. Why don't you want Windows 10?? I have been using 10 since day one and have had no problems with it.
