something has altered as oil change will not result in this. do check oil level anyway but look for anything amiss such as a breather pipe left adrift? connection to idle speed control valves etc .if we cannot see any physical problems then try a wiggle test when engine is idling. we may be able to pinpoint a. lose wire etc. alternative is to get fault codes using a diagnostic check and refer car back to where we got oil change. may be a coincidence though! so don't start an argument until we find out what is wrong. jerking and cutting out at low revs or idling can be a sticking idle speed control valve (ISC) or simple air leak ..breathing system on engine not right. any decent garage ought to be able to both carry out a diagnostic check and sort issue for you.

Check the oil level. Ask the mechanic what oil was put in the engine. If 0W-20 oil was not put in the engine, get another oil change and make sure the correct oil is used.

What can cause this? Not an oil change.

maybe you should get a mechanic to check it out

Either it's coincidence that it started happening now or whomever did the oil change did something he or she shouldn't have done and the engine is acting up...
