Acer TravelMate 6410 Problem?

Before Wi-Fi switch fix, this laptop is still working normally, but after the fix (by transplanting the Bluetooth switch to the Wi-Fi switch), this laptop won t turn on. Just power indicator, HDD indicator for about 10-15 seconds and then off, no beep and display.

I tried disassemble and reassemble to check I missed something, cleaned up excess flux, visual check for defects, and no fish.

Anyone can help me how I can figure this out?

Go back to where it used to be, see if it turns on.  You might get lucky.

To get WiFi back, use a USB wireless adapter.  There are some that are not any bigger than a wireless mouse base station.  They work fine.

Source(s): My laptops work fine, no rewiring. I did replace a Lenovo's motherboard whose video failed from heat.
