Why is sexism more acceptable than racism?

The B word is more acceptable than the N word first of all.

And it's more ok to put down women than it is to put down Black people. It' ok to tell a woman to go back to the kitchen but it's not acceptable to tell a Black person to go back to cotton picking.

It's acceptable for comedians to make sexist jokes about women but they won't do racist jokes about Black people.

Actually none of that's really "acceptable". But at least in the western world and not since the witch trials have women been systemically lynched and killed just for being female. Although yes, I do understand that women are still at greater risk of violence from individuals. The legacy of institutional racism against blacks doesn't compare to the kind of intimate partner violence most likely to affect women. If you don't think comedians will do jokes about black people you've never been to a Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle or Hannibal Buress standup set.

Both are subjective. It also depends on what media portrays the most - racism or sexism.

The B word isn't necessarily sexist. For example:

    I'm a bad b****

    I made him my b****

    You're such a b**** sometimes, but I love you

    She is my sexy b****

These are crude terms of endearment or insult. It does not become sexist until you discriminate based on gender.

Sexism: Discrimination based on gender, especially discrimination against women.

Examples of sexist use of the B word:

    All b****es are liars!

    B****es ain't s*** but h**s and tricks

But even then, they may be referring only to certain types of women. A word isn't always sexist. It is all about its usage. Here is an example of a sexist statement without the B word:

I humbly believe all women are below men.

As you can see, the statement has an otherwise pleasant tone, but is the most sexist example so far.

Because there’s no such thing as sexism. Racism is real.

    • You are unfathomably stupid - probably a male trying to justify bigotry against women
