Without an ID you're out of luck. All banks are required to verify all applicants prior to opening an account.

They asked for ID when you called? How are you supposed to do that. Are you saying they asked for ID when you applied?

Get an ID. Or don't activate it.

Get some form of ID, every adult needs one anyway.

You really need to get an ID. In CA we can go to the DMV and get an ID card. That's all it is, an ID. It's not a driver's license. I suspect other States have a similar card.

When you get that card, which you must, make sure you're getting a REAL ID card. A REAL ID will soon be required for traveling by air and other activities that require identification.
