Every thing is legal; so long as you don't get caught.  Sip that s*** through a non see through coffee mug; and don't act stupid on it.  You will be fine.

    What you heard is wrong.

Alcohol consumption by youth in the United States of America is an umbrella term for alcohol consumption by individuals under the age of 18 in the country.

Although the minimum legal age to purchase alcohol is 21 in all states (see National Minimum Drinking Age Act), the legal details for consumption vary greatly. While a few states completely ban alcohol usage for people under 18, the majority have exceptions that permit consumption.[1]

In 2007, the drinking age debate in the United States was renewed when Choose Responsibility began promoting the lowering of the drinking age coupled with education and rules to persuade people to drink responsibly before they are of legal age. Before one is eligible to buy, possess and consume alcohol, an alcohol education class must be completed in its entirety and each teen must pass a final examination before licensing can occur. If a teen has any alcohol-related law violations before they turn 18, they will have a minimum of one year per violation before they are eligible to be licensed.[8]

First of all, the answer is no. No one under 21 is allowed to have alcohol in their possession. You can be cited for this violation.

Second, most beaches strictly prohibit alcohol consumption because it can cause a lot of problems for most of the beachgoers. The posted signs will tell you that and the penalties.

No matter what people tell you, don't take their illegal advice because you can find yourself in a lot of trouble.

You may not drink on a beach!

You may not drink during a speech!

You, sixteen year old, may not drink at all!

Not in a stall, not in the fall!

You may not drink at all.

The drinking age in California is 21 there is currently a proposition to lower it to the age of 18 years of age. Bear in mind that whatever adult happens to be supervising your activities on the beach will be going to jail for distributing alcohol to a minor. And don't think that if there's no adult with you that means you can drink alcohol if they catch you you're still in trouble

If you get hassled by the police, be sure to tell them that YA said that it was OK for you to drink on the beach.

No. Even if it was legal to drink on the beach, you still wouldn't legally be able to because you're under the legal drinking age. But you probably could get away with it especially if youre smart about it, like if you put it in a soda pop can and dont act out

You can drink beer on the beach hell you can rape a dog on the beach,If that is your want,  but it is not legal to drink alcohol unless you are over 21 years of age.  If you are found with alcohol or drunk you can lose your driving privileges in California.

"I heard it's legal on the beach, i live in California." Well, who ever told you that lied to you. They will take your beer and issue you a citation that will not be cheap.

LOL!  Not a public beach!  You can drink a beer under your parents' supervision, but not in a public place.
