Implantation bleeding happens in about 20% of women (not rare, not common).  It's a spot or two of blood.  It's also the LEAST common cause of spotting.

Implantation bleeding is very rare. Think about it logically, the baby is smaller than a strand of hair. Just how much blood will a strand of hair make? Not much at all. If any blood is created at the time of implanting it is almost always absorbed back into the body. If any comes out it is just that one time and often missed as it is so little.

No, I did not have any implantation bleeding for any of my 6 pregnancies.
