Did Scots, Welsh and Irish share a common ancestry?

    The Scots and the Irish are very close.

    Welsh being primarily Celtic are close too, just not as close.

    so do they have a common ancestry?  yes, if you go back far enough, quite a  few thousand years.

    They're all Celtic tribes. I'm not aware of the precise genealogy beyond that.
